Hunter C Black
Mechanical Design Engineer- New Product Development
My name is Hunter Black, I graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in Engineering Sciences (2015) and a BE in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design (2016). Since graduating, I have worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer for focusing on prototyping, refinement, testing, and manufacturing of mechanical products through release.
As a curious tinkerer, I have transformed my desire to understand how things work into a career dedicated to helping clients tackle their most significant technical challenges. With over eight years of experience, I have a proven track record of managing long-term product development projects for more than 30 clients.
My professional experience spans a diverse range of projects, including biopharmaceutical production systems, hydrogen dispensing technologies, and consumer products like coffee makers and knife sharpeners. Additionally, I have developed surgical instruments, novel catheters, and CRISPR-based diagnostics, producing tens of injection-molded part designs, dozens of machined prototypes, and hundreds of 3D prints along the way.
This portfolio seeks to share my experience and projects while maintaining the intellectual property and confidentiality of the companies I have worked for. Should you want to learn more please reach out.
