Snowboard Vise
After years of heavy abuse, my family's trusted snowboard vises, which are used for ski and snowboard upkeep including edging, scraping, waxing and brushing, had fallen into a state of disrepair.
Because my family had all recently spread out into their own homes, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to put the home 3D printer to use in making replacements for everyone.
Unfortunately, my small format FDM printer would not be able to print these at the ideal scale for use, so I designed a joint along the honeycomb pattern of the vise to allow for a solvent bond.
The final assembly uses a 4" bolt and a captured nut to clamp the vise to any work table for ski or snowboard maintenance.
