Strand Pedal Powered Walking Beast
As a Teaching Assistant for ENGS 146, my first job was to fix a non functioning prototype of a pedal powered walking machine. After completing the works like prototype, I used my experiences to guide students through initial design to the final debugging of their prototypes. Most students relied on the designs of Theo Jansen and his Jansen Linkage to design their walking beast.
I aided in drafting, testing and modeling of the designs as well as teaching students the concepts of differentials and transmissions. I also designed the rules and layout of the jousting competition with the other TA including the lances, yokes, and magnetic disconnecting rings.
